Find Your Why, Especially Now (5 Hints)
(Caption: Teddy fulfills his destiny channeling rainbows into the world)
More chaos over the weekend as operation Epstein Fury becomes the latest tantrum thrown by this morally corrupt fascistic clown car of a regime. I am grieving for all who have and will suffer as a result.
The longing to be in another timeline right now does not abate.
But I also know we are all here together in this exact moment because we are all meant to be learning love, even in this exact set of circumstances, especially now. I offer this not as a hashtag love and light justification for tapping out. We have responsibilities to be aware, to not look away, to stretch our capacity for love, to be a channel for compassion and decency no matter what.
From my tiny corner over here, I can add my own expertise, which is that the still small voice inside is just as important now, maybe even more so, than when it seemed it had one job and that was to manifest everything we ever wanted.
That is such a crimped, limited, stingy interpretation of our spiritual ability, and it’s why the New Age lost its luster for me decades ago. I never believed that creating only out of want and desire would lead me into a life worth living. My intuition and the spiritual journey it sparked in me told me squarely we were selling ourselves short if all we thought we could do intuitively is create better stuff.
Your intuition wants you to understand true abundance, but it needs to find you willing to be of service. You have so much to offer the world. You deserve to heal and to live out of that healing by sharing with others. Despair and fear are not too powerful to prevent you from this important purpose.
So here are 5 nudges. Look around and see that intuition is leading us to live and breathe in this world right now, exactly how we find it, exactly as we are:
1: Feel Every Inch of Your Feelings
You do not have to carry them silently inside until a better time presents itself. You are a not just a spiritual being having a physical experience, you are also an emotional being, and you do not need permission to feel. Your pain is real, your anger is real, your fear is real, your joy is real, and they are all part of the divine providence of your humanity.
2: There is Always Hope
Hope does not always appear to us in every minute of every day, and it does not always look like we think it will, but you will find at least one small moment of communion, connection, or compassion if you are willing to experience it. Let it change what you notice until you see the best of humanity showing up all around you.
3: There is Always Love
(See above)
4: Don’t Be A Jerk
When the ugliness of hatred shows its face, it is alarming, but it is also doing us a solid. It shows us clearly who we don’t want to be. Deconstructing your assumptions of what it takes to be a good person is holy work. Don’t disassociate, use the experience to motivate yourself to learn more. Be a force for what you want to see more of in the world.
5: Do Something
Humans are here to learn how to put love into action. Do not hide out. Stop shouting on the internet* and get into action. Give of yourself directly with your time, energy and treasure. You will not only feel better, you will be part of the solution, and you will find yourself participating in the highest good for the greatest number. That, my friends, is an experience you don’t want to miss.
It’s easier to live a day at a time when the days don’t suck. But it’s also easier to live a day at a time, a moment at a time, a breath at a time when we choose love absolutely and let ourselves be freed from having to know how the story will end. Just for today, we can just be in the story together.
Holding you in my heart always,
Susan
*Irony abounds as I write down my thoughts and you know, share them on the internet. But you know what I mean. Stop trying to convince your racist relative that~actually, stop trying to convince anybody of anything~and use that energy for something constructive.
